O2 do still offer normal broadband. The bulk of their network is the Be network, and falls under the same restrictions (i.e. NONE), but if you are on their normal ADSL package then you're screwed. It's supposed to be pretty shit.

Again, check Samknows for your exchanges information.

That they were.

Fibre these days. Don't think I could go back now. My phone has better speeds than my internet used to and IT seems slow...

Sky Fibre 38mbps FYI. Not paying an extra 10 quid for 76mbps considering everything downloads fast enough with that.

Was gutted when Virgin said they don't do fibre optic down my road. Bad times.

I was with O2 but they got bought out by Sky, now Sky just honour my contract. 12/mo for unlimited 16mbps. Probably could get better but can't be arsed with the hassle of changing.

Nice speed! Not bad on the price by the look of it either, well if you buy the phone package, which begs the question why you wouldn't...

Virgin were terrible for traffic shaping and limits after so many GBs downloaded though, do they still do that?

youd get faster and cheaper with Sky... Especially if you have TV with them.

Investigating leased lines... 350/mo for 30Mbps.

I suppose I'll wait for these openreach dickheads...

Looks like it. I'm on 100mbps with Virgin, yet when I tried to download a game at peak times the other day it dropped down to 15-20mbps. Stick a download on at 2am, however, and it'll do 8gbs in about 5 minutes.

My speed is fine at virgin, I'm on 100 like fear but my downloads dont go slow like his but then my internet just disconnects all the time, had 4 engineers out to fix it the other month and it was fine apart from some area faults and then yesterday I started getting the disconnects again.

Virgin are also the best for protecting individual user's privacy apparently, despite them being stricter on traffic shaping.
