Default Gaming Collections

Anyone got any little collections they're proud of, or a massive collection of games in general?

I've been collecting Metal Gear stuff lately. Got a copy of the first NES game, a model of REX, magazine from when Solid first came out and some metal gear solid comics they made.

Should get twin snakes if you have a gamecube, or both since gamecubes being about 20 quid.

Just don't start looking at the Japanese special editions if you like eating food...

Yeah... It's a bit of a rabbit hole I'm falling into. Been following an original japanese metal gear on the msx on ebay. It just went for 162.

Also the trading cards are tempting me, but they're going for anywhere up to 80 each.

Konami missed a trick with merchandise obviously. Upside is they make so few things if you get them they absolutely increase in value.

I still got my MGS4 Ltd Ed with Snake figure. Not looked at prices though. Not gonna be tempted. Im clearing out special editions which are wasting space but that I'll keep. Got the Bionic arm MGS5 ordered too. The PS4 looks nice, but I'm not too bothered by it.

I was going to buy the collectors MGS5, but I kept putting it off and now it's sold out.

I have a small Dreamcast collection, about 9 games, the most rare is a Japanese copy of Shenmue which is awesome, it comes in a better case than the standard PAL games. (less prone to breaking!!)

I think I have sealed copies of Jet Set Radio and Quake III, I remember loving Quake III on the Dreamcast. I've also got Code Veronica but that's opened.

I have a picky Dreamcast, it's not easy to get pirated/burned discs to load. Luckily I found a boot CD that worked and this lets me play my Japanese copy of Shenmue! The main benefit of having Shenmue in Japanese is that the voice actors were obviously paid much more...

I have a VGA box for it too, but my plasma doesn't have a VGA input like my old TV did. It's surprising how good a Dreamcast actually looks via VGA!

Boot CD is more reliable than than burning the pre-jigged ROMs which boot themselves. Nearly everything you said applies to my DC. Got VGA box (and mouse kb mic arcade stick loads of vmus etc etc). And a few rare import games.

One of my favourite ever consoles. Just superb. Just a shame that the promise of online went from "play people" to "play peoples best times/scores". My TV however has got VGA. It doesnt however have audio inputs for the VGA which is so stupid, so I need separate speakers...

I played Quake 3 against people on Dreamcast all the time! It was my only way of getting online when we didnt have a PC. Porn was difficult, given the 16MB RAM
